You know that feeling you get when something fits just right? Or you walk into a room popping with the season’s hottest colors and everyone can’t help but stare? This is the element of fashion that I have been obsessing over all my life. The way someone looks on the outside can directly affect how he or she feels on the inside. Fashion elevates the confidence level in all of us to dominate in the executive chair within our own lives.
Fashion is an art and in that sense it is also a self-expression. It is empowering and invigorating, and the extent of fashion’s overall influence fuels the social world.
For me, fashion is my indicative medium – how I feel is how I dress. I think the most fruitful ensembles are ones that are derived from pure emotion; this could be reflective of the color, style, texture, etc. Just imagine layering with a warm cashmere sweater on a cool fall day – the texture is a comfort cue and the layering effect is a security cue. It’s hard to tie a definition to fashion because to me with definitions comes rigidness, and I guess I tend to exist outside the lines!
Thanks for reading my fashion infused personal memoir – XOXO.
